Sylvox, a company known for its outdoor displays, has introduced its latest product – the Sylvox 55-inch DeckPro 4K display panel. According to TechRadar’s review, the product offers excellent visual display, solid Android UI, IP55 rating and plenty of ports, making it a decent choice for outdoor usage despite its price tag.

The Sylvox DeckPro is designed to be self-installed by the end-user and is suitable for AV installers and companies looking for large format displays that can endure harsher than average conditions such as exhibitions, events, outdoor happenings, museums, zoos, and gardens. However, it will require two people to handle it because of its size – it measures 1245 x 87 x 726mm and weighs almost 23Kg.

The display panel’s stainless steel-coated shell resists corrosion and scratching, allowing it to work in temperatures ranging between -30 and 50 degrees centigrade. While it is not waterproof, it is protected against dust, debris, and water sprays from a nozzle from all directions. All connectors are downward facing, located behind a detachable waterproof panel at the back of the TV, secured by 13 screws.

The Sylvox DeckPro has a 4K 55-inch panel that can reach 1000 nits brightness, making it a great choice for viewing content outside. It uses Google’s Android TV and offers both Chromecast and Google Assistant with full access to Google Play. Another notable feature of the display panel is its compatibility with 5GHz networks, making it great for users who plan to use the panel far away, such as on exhibition floors.

However, the product has its downsides, including a reflection issue with dark content, a non-waterproof remote control, no UK region in the Android setting, and a one-year warranty.

The Sylvox 55-inch DeckPro 4K display panel is priced at $1,899, and customers can purchase it alone, with a TV mount or with an additional soundbar. A smaller 43-inch model, as well as a 65-inch and a 75-inch panel, are also available. Customers can purchase the product directly from the Sylvox website, and retailers like Amazon provide coverage plans for multiple years.
